Although the word thrift, frugal and economy appears to be ideal for this article, permit me to leave the title is it is. Frugal does not just involve money matters, but everything in life such as the use of your time, your energy, your abilities, your resources and life in itself.
We can describe frugality as the orderly management of one’s self, one’s money, one’s time, one’s affair, the wisest possible usage of what we have of all of life resources. Thrift is needed to build a fortune and to become a person of excellent character. It shows that a young man is in control of his affairs and that he is not just a useless victim of his appetites, his weaknesses, his resources and peer influences.
Thrift makes you think and plan. It makes you have a program and some certain amount of independence. The journey to greatness demands that one must demonstrate the ability to control one’s desire. You must master yourself.
Thrift merely demand common sense and the will to resist selfish enjoyment or indulgent for a greater good. To be a blessing to oneself and to the world at large, life demand that we are economical with our time, our energy, abilities, and resources, so we can position ourselves to build the required capacity.
